JOY

J O Y

This has been a word that God has been speaking to me, exhorting and encouraging me to be and do over the past 3 weeks... Joy and worship - they are somewhat synonymous.
20 Mar 2012 (Tue): I was prompted in the morning when hubby and I were praying, to pray for JOY. That afternoon, a dear friend came to visit me, and said she felt the same thing when she was praying for me. The days after that were bombarded with a lot of words in the bible about joy.
Psalm 16:11 "... you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasure at your right hand."
1 Thess 5:16-18 "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances , for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
Rom 12:12 "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
Heb 12:2 "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and Perfector of our faith, who for the JOY set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
I asked God, how to have joy, be joyful? It's in Psalm 16:11, that in his presence there is fullness of JOY.
I battle with negative thoughts, the past bad experiences. As I was sharing with a friend, as we believe the Words and promises that God has given me, I must learn to live out the promises, then my life will be congruent... if not I am double-minded.

Lord, help me with my unbelief. Unbelief is the natural and not of you. Your realm is faith and the supernatural, and we have the authority to tap the supernatural to overcome the natural of this world.

We look forward to the JOY set before us O Lord. Preserve me and build my faith in You. You are Good and perfect. No one else compares with you...
